They are a handful of captivating neighborhoods to explore, dishes to eat, stalls historic establishments to see. In addition, you will find luxurious spas and hotels here, if you like that sort of thing. <\/p>\n\n\n

Chatuchak Weekend Market<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

With more than 15,000 stalls, the weekend market in Chatuchak offers everything from clothing and counterfeit soccer jerseys to fresh food and souvenirs. It is an excellent introduction to Thai shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n

Boat tour and railway market<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

There is no better way to get a comprehensive tour of Bangkok’s neighborhoods than by taking one of several riverboat sightseeing tours. The boat is a recent attraction, it is interesting and fun, but the market can also be seen on foot, the boat ride is just one more experience. The Railway Market is the best place to find vintage clothing and items in Bangkok. <\/p>\n\n\n

Siam<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n


Established in 1972, Ancient Siam or Ancient City is a large outdoor museum park modeled to reflect the map of Thailand and has beautiful representations of the country’s oldest and holiest buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n

Bangkok Park<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

Bangkok’s tropical surroundings are ideal for parks and gardens. Lumphini Park in Silom is the largest in the city. Those around Phra Sumen Fort also offer a nice escape from the hectic atmosphere of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n

Muay Thai<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

Thailand’s national sport is more than just kickboxing; it is an extraordinary blend of martial arts and fighting techniques. Muay Thai matches are regularly held in the city’s stadiums. There are also courses offered for those who wish to learn the basics.<\/p>\n\n\n

Grand Palace<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

This is definitely one of the best and best things to do in Bangkok. It is also the most iconic. The Grand Palace is a place of pure beauty and grandeur. It is rich, it is beautiful and it is worth a visit. The price of admission is 500 baht but I think it is worth it. If this is the only temple area you will visit on your trip to Thailand<\/a>, then you simply cannot miss it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dress code is VERY strict.<\/p>\n\n\n

Wat Pho <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

Wat Pho is beautiful and is definitely up there on the list of things to do in Bangkok. It is an 80,000-square-meter complex that holds many records; it is the oldest and largest monastery in the Thai capital, was the birthplace of the city’s first university, houses the largest reclining Buddha and contains more Buddha images than any Thai temple. Go early in the morning so you won’t find crowds.<\/p>\n\n\n

Passeggia Nel Wat Arun <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

Wat Arun is architecturally the best temple in Bangkok, in my opinion. It is absolutely beautiful. It stands proudly and dominates the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Admission is 50 baht per person and is open from 8:30 to 5:30, often I think it is best to visit after 3.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tempio Del Monte D’Oro (Wat Saket)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

This is what can be described as a “hilltop” temple in town that has a variety of bells to ring on the road for luck. Admission is 20 baht (50 pence) and you climb the many stairs to receive a stunning panoramic view of Bangkok and its incredible skyline.<\/p>\n\n\n

Wat Phra Kaew <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n

Wat Phra Kaew (also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha) is probably the most important Buddhist temple in Thailand; however, it is not a Buddhist monastery in that neither monks nor nuns use the temple complex as their residence or primary place of congregation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, Wat Phra Kaew was once the private chapel of Thailand’s kings and members of the court. Photos inside are strictly forbidden; there are special guards who monitor tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n
