Japan<\/strong> is one of my favorite destinations! It boasts an endless list of attractions, things to do and places to explore. Hence, it is good to have some essential tips in mind<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a magical place, full of contradictions, you will find ancient history combined with the latest technology and development. From restaurants with robotic staff to ancient temples and cat cafes, there’s something for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And let’s not forget the amazing food and shopping! I am still dreaming of all the delicious Noodles, Sushi, Soba and Ramen dishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you have a few days available, you can browse through these itineraries in Tokyo<\/strong><\/a> and Kyoto<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT TO EXPECT<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Language:<\/span><\/strong> Japan’s national language is Japanese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currency<\/span> :<\/strong> The official currency is the Japanese yen (JPY). 1 Euro is equivalent to 120.82 JPY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Credit cards and ATMs<\/span> :<\/strong> In big cities like Tokyo and Osaka, you can pay pretty much everything with your card. However, you’ll need cash if you’re planning on exploring Japan’s more remote destinations. If you need to withdraw money, you will usually find a machine that accepts foreign bank cards in front of supermarkets, or right inside supermarkets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plugs:<\/span><\/strong> The plugs in Japan are type A and B. The standard voltage is 100W and the standard frequency is 50\/60 Hz. I recommend buying a universal adapter. The more “IN” hotels are equipped with an adapter for European sockets inside the rooms, or you can ask at the reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety<\/span> :<\/strong> Japan is one of the safest countries in the world and is perfect for women traveling alone. Some hotels even offer accommodation for women only, and most trains have special wagons for women only. That said, you’ll still need to have some common sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Useful and essential to travel without problems is to have the Japan Rail Pass<\/a><\/strong> you can order from here; Order the Japan Rail Pass<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best time to visit Japan depends on what you want to do on your trip. There are endless festivals and activities, so your itinerary will never have a dull moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But as a general rule, late spring (March to May) and late fall (September to November) are the best times to visit. Temperatures are mild and there is little chance that rain will ruin any floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, if you book your flights for spring, you can find Japan’s famous cherry blossoms!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want to go on a cheaper trip, I recommend that you pack the warmest jacket and leave for Japan between mid-January and March. Temperatures are freezing, but you’ll save money on airline tickets, hotels, and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
